Sam signs with Metier Records!! Sam’s debut solo CD ‘Refracted Resonance’ will be released in March 2019. It features music by Christopher Fox, Horatiu Radulescu and George Holloway.

LSO Soundhub 2017-19

Sam has recently been selected as an LSO Soundhub associate composer for 2017-19. During this time he will be working with The Octandre Ensemble, Improviso and Johan Lofving at LSO St. Luke’s in London.

Recording with Octandre – 28-29/04/18, Yehudi Menuhin Hall, Surrey, UK

A groundbreaking recording of Frank Denyer’s epic ‘The Fish that Became the Sun’ wth The Octandre Ensemble, Consortium5, New London Chamber Choir and many others. To be released on ‘Another Timbre’ label in 2019.

Composers+Summer – 15/06/18 – 24/06/18, Druskininkai, Lithuania

Sam will attend the Composers+Summer Academy and compose new music for accordion and string quartet to be premiered by leading Lithuanian performers.

Premiere in Krakow – 10/10/18, Krakow, Poland

Rising star of the accordion Irina Serotyuk will perform Sam’s new work for solo accordion …the space that lies between them…. More information here.

Recital with Jane Wilkinson and Sally Goodworth at Brunel University – 12/10/18, Uxbridge, UK

Sam will perform alongside the renowned English soprano Jane Wilkinson and pianist Sally Goodworth in this recital exploring the role of women in opera. 1pm, free admission.

Solo recital at Brunel – 09/11/18, Uxbridge, UK

Sam returns to Brunel to perform his annual solo recital in the university lunchtime concert series. 1pm, free admission.

Recording at LSO St Luke’s – 11/11/18, London, UK

Leading players Mandhira de Saram (Ligeti quartet), Anna Brigham (Florian quartet) and Corentin Chassard (The Octandre Ensemble) will record some of Sam’s music for bowed strings as part of his LSO Soundhub Associate Composer tenure.
